JEMENA NORTHERN GAS PIPELINE (QLD SECTION); REGIONAL ECOSYSTEM MAPPING AND IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Terrestria were commissioned by EcOz Environmental Consulting to undertake the regional ecosystem mapping, impact and offset liability assessment for the Queensland section of Jemena’s Northern Gas Pipeline Running from the Queensland - Northern Territory border to Mount Isa, including all access tracks and associated infrastructure. The resulting mapping was used to identify the following:
Location and area of Category A, B and C Environmentally Sensitive Areas;
Location and area of any Prescribed Environmental Matters;
On-ground biodiversity values of the native vegetation communities within the construction footprint; and
Requirements to provide offsets in line with the Queensland Environmental Offsets Policy (Version 1.1; Dec 2014).
Reedy Creek Wallumbilla Gas Pipeline Ecological Surveys
Terrestria were commissioned by CDM Smith to undertake the flora, regional ecosystem, BioCondition and weed surveys for Reedy Creek Wallumbilla Gas Pipeline alignment. This work included the development of a spatial weed attribute standard to be adopted at all APA sites. This data collection standard is designed to facilitate the collection of consistent, standardised spatial information about weeds and weed management activities. Weed management for the project included identification and prioritization of target weed species, triggers for control action, management strategies and success criteria.
